Shipping to non-EU countries
Please note that you have previously filled in the weight, the HS code and the customs description for all your products. These are required for international shipping and to create customs documents. You must also enter your VAT identification number (UID number) in the app as follows Customs Information.
Weight and HS Code
The weight is required for shipping in order to choose the appropriate shipping method. The HS code is used to designate and code goods so that they are classified the same worldwide.
- Open Shopify.
- Click on Products.
- To edit a product please click on an Item.
- Now you will find the Shipping setting in the middle of this page.
- Here you can now specify the weight and the HS code.
- Please save your changes.
Shopify offers you the option of storing the HS code and the country of origin in the bulk process. Here you can find the instructions.
Customs-Description
In order to successfully create customs documents, you need a customs description for all your products. We'll explain how to add these here:
- Open Shopify, please go to the Post & DHL Shipping App.
- You are now on the dashboard of our app.
- Now please click on Products.
- Now you will see all your products listed, select one of them and click Edit.
- The product will now be opened. Next, please select the field you would like to edit.
- Now please add a description in the Description for customs export column, which will then be required for the customs documents.
- Now please save your changes!
International shipping settings for multiple products
- Open Shopify, please go to the Post & DHL Shipping App.
- You are now on the dashboard of our app.
- Now please click on Products.
- Now please select a few products that you would like to edit.
- These fields will then be displayed for all products. You can now add these settings in a quick and easy process.
- Don't forget to save all changes afterwards.
